Department of Applied Mathematics.
Pilar Alamán Díez holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Zaragoza. Her research interests focus on cancer cell mechanobiology. She has previous experience in optical and electronic microscopy, bone tissue regeneration, hydrogel fabrication and characterization, and microfluidics.
Currently, she is working in the field of cancer research, specifically on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, to study the effects of the tumor extracellular matrix on different cellular cultures . Additionally, she is researching osteosarcoma to evaluate the activity of bone cancer cells in the presence of other tissues.
