On 6th-7th February 2020, we held a two-day workshop as part of the training and dissemination activities of the CURABONE project. The venue was the Paraninfo of the University of Zaragoza and we had five renowned researchers from different universities who presented the state of the art in this field to 50 people from all over Europe at the following conferences:
•Scaffold design in Bone Tissue Engineering: Towards the creation of subject-specific models, José Manuel García Aznar (University of Zaragoza).
•Mechanobiology for bone tissue engineering. Biomaterials fabrication techniques for structural bone tissue engineering, Gwendolen Reilly (The University of Sheffield).
•Introduction to musculoskeletal modelling. Application of musculoskeletal models within knee osteoarthritis research, Michael Skipper Andersen (Aalborg University)
•Analysis of bone structure, strength and remodelling in-vivo. Analysis of bone structure, strength and remodelling ex-vivo, Bert van Rietbergen (Eindhoven University of Technology)
•Design Control of 3D Printed Scaffolds for Quality Systems. Head and Neck Hard and Soft Tissue Engineering using 3D Printed Scaffolds, Scott Hollister (Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University)
•Round table: “From engineering research to clinical applications” Chairperson: Angel Lanas, Scientific Director of IIS Aragon
